Presented by Ferrin Contemporary, artKamp: indigo mass is an exhibition of selected contemporary ceramic works created during artKamp — a two-week international residency featuring eight artists working collaboratively to create a unified tablescape. Individual works by artKamp artists, which include Ben Carter, Chase Gamblin, Alexandra Jelleberg, Frances Palmer, Bonnie Smith, Mara Superior, Vipoo Srivilasa, and Elenor Wilson will also be on view.

Founded by Australian artist Vipoo Srivilasa, artKamp is an ongoing series of events where artists come together to work collaboratively and in the process expand their world views.

Working in a foreign country, I often question my assumptions about life, which ultimately helps me to become a better artist. Facing cultural divergence helps me understand the conflicts and contradictions in issues regarding race, religious, and sexual discrimination from personal, regional, and global points of view. This is why I am actively involved in organizing projects that create opportunities for cultural exchange between artists internationally.” states Srivilasa.
