FERRIN CONTEMPORARY and CYNTHIA-REEVES present contemporary artworks at their exhibition space located on the campus of MASS MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts. In addition to their international projects and art fairs, public art initiatives, and curatorial programming, both FERRIN CONTEMPORARY and CYNTHIA-REEVES exhibit mid-career and established artists working in diverse media in this 2,500 square-foot venue.
FERRIN CONTEMPORARY and CYNTHIA-REEVES make the space, managed by Independent Art Projects, available for curated exhibitions. These innovative projects, directed by Melissa G. Post, draw from a broad range of artists and galleries, and further support the mission of this collaborative artspace.
FERRIN CONTEMPORARY specializes in ceramic art circa 1950 to the present. For over thirty years, FERRIN CONTEMPORARY has been the preferred source for artwork by established and emerging artists and designers whose primary medium is clay, for private collectors, institutions and the media. Based in the Berkshires of Massachusetts, FERRIN CONTEMPORARY maintains exhibition space, business office, library and art warehouse at Project Art, an artist residence in a renovated, 18th-century mill building in Cummington, Mass. Their programs include presentations at art, design and antiques fairs; partnerships with commercial galleries; and support for artists at museum venues.

CYNTHIA-REEVES represents an international roster of emerging and mid-career artists who demonstrates an innovative use of materials, and an appreciation of the mark in diverse media: site-based installation, video, sculpture, painting, and works on paper. A sub-text to the gallery’s program is artwork that provokes a discourse around the convergence of art and science, as well as our relationship to the natural world. CYNTHIA-REEVES Projects is a forum for off-site and collaborative projects done in concert with partner galleries and non-profit organizations, including The Hudson River Park Trust, the Union Square Association, NYC Parks, and, now, Independent Art Projects.
